Halliwells LLP - Corporate Challenge

Lancaster University Management School North West Award for Impact through Collaborative Leadership

Halliwells have generated £375,710 for Claire House Children’s Hospice and the Prince’s Trust through innovative collaboration with over 200 companies in the North West.

Halliwells’ Corporate Challenge provided over 200 companies with a “seed fund” of £50 and set the challenge to grow the money by as much as possible in three months.
 
The Challenge was launched with an introduction night to learn more about the charities being supported. This was followed by a motivational evening half way through the challenge to facilitate networking, sharing of ideas, best practice and further collaboration.
 
Communication between participating companies and the stakeholder charities was through Halliwells’ challenge website. Significant media profile was generated for all stakeholders including Halliwells, participating companies and the charities involved. The challenge also facilitated increased dialogue between the businesses involved and enhanced internal team building.

Impact

  • Over £375k generated for Claire House Children’s Hospice and the Prince’s Trust.
  • New alliances have been formed between participating companies and the charities securing long-term fund-raising.
  • 34 hits in the regional and national media were generated both raising profile and informing the business and wider community of the various fundraising initiatives.
