Chief Executive, Business in the Community
Stephen Howard joined Business in the Community in September 2005. Stephen brings a wealth of senior management expertise to BITC acquired through the corporate sector. Stephen has held a number of different executive and non executive roles including, Chief Executive of Cookson group plc, and Chief Executive of Novar PLC.

Deputy Chief Executive
Peter Lambert OBE joined Business in The Community in 1995, where he worked as West Midlands Regional Director, before moving to London in 2000 first to work as National Director for Regeneration and Community Impact and then as London and South East Regional Director.

Vice President, Business in the Community
Julia was Chief Executive of Business in the Community from 1 April 1992 to 1 March 2008. During this period Julia has established a formidable reputation as a renowned leader and speaker on corporate responsibility and has personally been responsible for introducing new thinking and action from within the UK’s top boardrooms.
